Autotest Championship

Highland Car Club run three Autotest rounds throughout the summer.  These are manoeuvrability tests against the clock.  Like the cars required for Road Rallies your current road car can be used for Autotests, but here something compact is real advantage as the garages and cones can be very tight!

Each competitor gets two runs over each course.  The aim is to get the fastest time as each section is timed to a tenth of a second.  The course is set up on a sealed surface car park or similar area and as always safety is of paramount importance.

Autotests are the cheapest form of motor sport to get involved in and the challenge is just as great as hurling through the Snowman stages, just at a different level.
