Introduction to the Highland Car Club

Highland Car Club’s aim is quite simply to promote and encourage motorsport in the North of Scotland. The club organises a wide variety of events throughout the year, with something for everyone.

Navigational Road Rallies

Road rallies are a test of navigation on timed road sections, covering around 50 miles on public roads. A great introduction to motorsport, in standard or slightly modified road cars

Autotests

High-speed twists and turns against the clock on either sealed or loose surfaces, autotesting is perfect for developing extreme car control, and is a low-budget way to get involved in competition against the clock

The Snowman Rally

The Club’s premier event, The Snowman is the opening round of the Scottish Rally Championship. High-performance rally cars at full speed through the forests, this is adrenaline-packed motorsport at its best!

La Crofterra Pandemonia

A classic and sporting car weekend tour of some of the best roads in the Highlands & Islands, including an overnight halt with great food, good craic and the occasional dram…

Gravel Sprint

Six high-speed runs through a forest rally stage at a single venue, the gravel sprint is high-drama and amazing action against the clock. Cars are separated by tenths of seconds, with additional awards for junior drivers and the best entertainers!

Monthly Club Nights

The last Thursday of each month, it could be a slot-car night, quiz night, treasure hunt, film night, speedboat trip, or simply come along for a chat and a pint with car people

Motorsport Marshalling

Club members play a vital role as marshals at local and national events, covering safety, timing, results and rescue, as well as staffing time controls. Volunteering is a no-cost introduction to motorsport

Treasure Hunts

A leisurely family drive on a summer’s evening, gathering treasures and solving clues along the way. Hunts last a couple of hours, and take you to places you never knew existed
